For the Westfield Historical Society’s First Wednesday Luncheon series in February, guests are welcome to the luncheon on February 5th at Ferraro’s Restaurant (14 Elm St., Westfield, NJ 07090 - 2nd floor). Journalist and Author, Nancy B. Kennedy, will talk on “Choosing to Conquer, the Women Who Won the Vote.”
Take a whirlwind tour through the 72-year fight for the woman's vote with Nancy B. Kennedy, author of Women Win the Vote! 19 for the 19th Amendment. In her program, "Choosing to Conquer: The Women Who Won the Vote," you'll be immersed in this epic civil rights battle through a trove of historic and current-day photos. You'll find that the suffrage fight didn't just happen at the national level — Westfield suffragists were eager to vote and they fought hard for it!
Nancy B. Kennedy is the author of eight books, most recently Women Win the Vote! 19 for the 19th Amendment (Norton Young Readers). She holds a degree in journalism from the Pennsylvania State University and worked in newspapers and magazines for many years, including a stint at Dow Jones in its pioneering online news service. Her books have been praised by Kirkus, Publishers Weekly, Booklist, Library Journal and School Library Journal. She lives in Hopewell, New Jersey, with her husband, John.

Please advise if there are special dietary needs. The luncheon fee of $40 (WHS members) or $45 (non-members) includes a three-course meal, coffee/tea, and gratuity. The luncheon fee should be paid in advance (check payable to Westfield Historical Society) by mailing to Westfield Historical Society, 314 Mountain Ave., Westfield, NJ 07090; by Venmo to @Westfield-HistoricalSociety; or, online by selecting “Registration” at the top of this page. Registration and payments should be received by Thursday prior to the luncheon.
